This training module is part of the comprehensive suite of training and certification offered by the global leaders in inclusive aquatics, Autism Swim.

Autism Swim (AS) provides a range of professional development services for aquatic professionals working with Neurodiverse participants in and around the water. For more information on certification, please visit the website.

In this module we discuss the relationship between Aquatics and Neurodiversity and what adaptations or inclusions your teaching style may need to assist Neurodiverse participants to achieve their goals.

By the end of the module, providers will be able to:

  2. Acknowledge the increased drowning statistics for participants on the autism spectrum and other Neurodiverse participants, and some of the associated reasons why
  3. Identify and use relevant swimming aids and sensory tools during aquatic sessions
